AI Use Policy

This AI Use Policy governs your use of Orbit AI, the artificial intelligence features of the Service provided by OrbitSub, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Karan in New Delhi, India, and registered as a micro enterprise under the Udyam (MSME) scheme of the Government of India ("OrbitSub", "we" or "us"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Terms defined there have the same meaning here.

1. What Orbit AI is

Orbit AI helps you research and write. It can draft research from a question, run deep research, answer questions about your draft and your sources, propose edits, review a draft for unsupported claims, structure and clarity, draft sections, rewrite selected text, suggest text as you type, search scholarly databases and the web for sources, and answer questions about documents you upload.

Orbit AI is powered by large language models provided by third-party AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy, combined with searches of scholarly databases and the web. Orbit AI is software, not a person, and it does not have opinions, credentials or professional expertise.

Orbit AI generates text. It does not generate images, audio or video.

2. What Orbit AI cannot promise

2.1 Accuracy. Orbit AI can be wrong. It may produce statements that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or biased, and it may present made-up information confidently. It may summarise a source incorrectly, attribute a claim to the wrong source, or cite a source that does not support the claim.

2.2 Sources. Orbit AI shows the sources and passages it relied on so that you can check them. The presence of a source or citation does not mean that the source says what the Output claims, or that the source is itself reliable.

2.3 No professional advice. Outputs are not legal, medical, financial, tax, engineering or other professional advice, and must not be used as a substitute for it.

2.4 No guarantee of originality. Outputs may resemble existing text, including text produced for other users. Orbit AI does not check Outputs for plagiarism.

3. Your responsibilities

When you use Orbit AI, you agree to:

1. Verify before you rely. Check every Output, including every fact, figure, quotation and citation, against the original source before you rely on it, publish it or submit it anywhere.
2. Review before you apply. Orbit AI proposes edits for you to apply or discard. You are responsible for every edit you apply.
3. Follow the rules that apply to you. Many universities, schools, journals, funders, employers and examination bodies have rules on the use of AI tools. It is your responsibility to know and follow them, including disclosing your use of OrbitSub and Orbit AI where required.
4. Take responsibility for what you publish. Content you publish is your Content, whether or not Orbit AI helped create it, and you are responsible for it under our Terms of Service.
5. Respect other people's rights. Only upload documents and provide information that you have the right to use in this way.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not use Orbit AI, directly or indirectly, to:

1. generate or share any Content prohibited by our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or by law;
2. harass, defame, threaten or discriminate against any person, or generate content that sexualises minors in any way;
3. create or spread disinformation, fabricated research, falsified data, fake citations or fake reviews, or impersonate any person or institution;
4. commit or facilitate academic misconduct, including producing work for others to submit as their own;
5. obtain instructions for creating weapons, explosives or dangerous substances, for serious self-harm, or for committing crimes;
6. create malware or attack computer systems;
7. make decisions about people's health, legal rights, employment, housing, credit, education or access to essential services without appropriate, qualified human review;
8. process other people's personal data without a lawful basis;
9. attempt to bypass, disable or manipulate Orbit AI's safety measures, usage limits or instructions, including through prompt injection;
10. extract the instructions, prompts or configuration behind Orbit AI;
11. use Outputs or the Service to develop, train or improve artificial intelligence models or services that compete with ours or with our AI providers';
12. access Orbit AI by automated means other than the features we provide.

5. Safety measures

We and our AI providers use automated safety systems that may block, refuse or modify requests and Outputs that appear to breach this Policy or the law. We may limit, suspend or end access to Orbit AI for any user who breaches this Policy, as described in our Content Moderation Policy.

6. Your data

6.1 No training. We do not use your Content, your Orbit AI inputs or your Outputs to train artificial intelligence models, and we use our AI providers only on terms that do not permit them to do so.

6.2 What is shared. To respond to you, Orbit AI sends your request, the relevant parts of your draft and any files or sources involved to an AI provider, and sends search queries derived from your request to search providers. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail, including how long providers may retain data to prevent abuse.

6.3 Your history. Your Orbit AI conversations, reviews and saved prompts are kept in your Account until you delete them or your Account.

7. Ownership of Outputs

As between you and us, and to the extent any rights exist in them, you own the Outputs generated for you, as set out in clause 8.6 of our Terms of Service. Whether an Output is protected by copyright depends on the law that applies and on your own contribution to it.

8. Limits

Orbit AI is subject to usage limits that depend on your plan, shown on our pricing page, and to fair-use limits that protect the Service for everyone.

9. Reporting a problem

If Orbit AI produces something harmful, offensive, unlawful or seriously wrong, please tell us at team@orbitsub.com, including what you asked and what it produced. Reports help us make Orbit AI safer.

This Policy is effective from 1 October 2026.
