Accessibility Statement

OrbitSub, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Karan in New Delhi, India, and registered as a micro enterprise under the Udyam (MSME) scheme of the Government of India ("OrbitSub", "we" or "us") wants everyone to be able to research, write and read on OrbitSub, including people with disabilities. We take reasonable measures to make the Service accessible, in keeping with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

1. Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We have not yet had the Service independently audited against these guidelines, and we do not claim full conformance.

2. What we do

  1. Keyboard access. The Service can be used with a keyboard. Dialogs and menus keep focus inside them while open, close with the Escape key, and return focus to where you were.
  2. Structure. Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled controls so that screen readers can navigate them.
  3. Readability. Text is resizable, pages adapt to screen size and zoom, and both the light and dark themes are designed for readable contrast.
  4. Motion. The Service keeps animation to a minimum and respects your device's reduced-motion setting.

3. Known limitations

  1. Live collaboration. Other people's cursors and live edits in a Live Room are shown visually and may not be fully announced by screen readers.
  2. Exported files. PDF and Word files exported from the Service may not include full accessibility tagging.
  3. Third-party content. Embedded videos and pages provided by third parties, such as PayPal and Google sign-in, are outside our control, and their accessibility depends on those providers.
  4. Image descriptions. Images added to research cannot yet be given a text description for screen readers.
  5. Orbit AI. Text generated by Orbit AI may not always follow plain-language or heading conventions until you edit it.

We are working to address these limitations.

If you have difficulty using any part of the Service, or need information in a different format, please contact us at team@orbitsub.com. Tell us what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use, if any. We aim to respond within 7 days and, where we cannot fix a problem quickly, to provide the information or help you need another way.
